This story is an amazing fantasy adventure story that will fascinate any reader like it has for so many others since it was first published in 1950. During World War II four children are sent away to stay with their eccentric uncle at his home in the country. One rainy day while playing hide and seek indoors, Lucy, the youngest hides at the back of a wardrobe and ends up in another world where it is always winter. While she is exploring she befriends a talking fawn and becomes emotionally caught up in wanting to help him in his fight against the evil white witch. She eventually convinces her brothers and sister that this magical world exist and they end up on the most exciting quest to help overthrow the white witch and end the eternal winter in Narnia.
